About Me

Cassandra Lee Walker

MA Expressive Arts Therapy, BA Theater Arts

I have always thought of myself as a creative. However, it wasn’t until much later on that I noticed how frequent the arts impacted my life in a multitude of ways. Piece by piece the arts began to provide layers upon layers of deeper meaning to my life. It was then that I realized the arts were my resource. They were always there to hold me, comfort me, protect me, and guide me….the arts were my companion, my outlet to explore, express, and discover. It just took a handful of years as an actress and sketch comedian to notice the true purpose it had on my life. As it slowly surfaced, so did my desire to help facilitate creative opportunities for others to experience this very same authentic aesthetic encounter. Very soon after receiving my MA in Expressive Arts Therapy, I began working with the neurodiverse community. Currently, I provide Expressive Arts services for neurodivergent individuals cultivating social/emotional awareness in addition to providing micro business support for those interested in creative entrepreneurship. As a teaching artist I have also facilitated props/puppet making workshops at New Village Arts in Carlsbad, San Diego as well as co-facilitated improv for Monday Night Live!, an improvisation/sketch comedy class which is part of the Theater’s Inclusion Program.
